Houses here in the medieval times

Houses here in the medieval times is not as fancy as you think. The only people who can afford to get everything a house needs are either the royals or the lords. If you are a peasant like me you would be very lucky to have a house. A normal house would normally have a fabric or rug as a door when you first enter the house, just like our house. Upon entering you would look to your left corner and find a bucket which we use as our toilet, we empty it out in the river every night, so does the other families do the same. Anyway if you continue to the front you will find a table and some chairs which we use as our dining table, we are lucky to have one as the others have to sit on the floor while if you look to the right of that you find some of the meat hanging from the roof, my dad is a butcher so it is a normal thing for me. If we move backwards and look to the write you see were we have are animals at night, to be exact a dog, horse and a cow. We get our own milk from the cow. If you keep walking forward you will see another room where we have another bucket as well as a mattress which we use as a couch for us to sit on. Further more you find a staircase which leads to where we sleep. There is pillows and very light blankets which we use as our beds. We are luckier then most families as my dad is a butcher so he earns a lot of money for us to afford a house with 3 rooms and two floors. As a window we have a hole in each of our rooms which is enough to keep us cool and enough to keep us warm as we cant afford windows.
